Proudly serving the Altoona, PA area

Who We Are

We are more than just experience

Patriot HIS is veteran owned and operated by Erik Wardrop, born and raised right here in Altoona, PA. You might ask why the name “PATRIOT?” Naming a business is such a tough process. You want your name to have true meaning behind it, something that holds dear to you as a business owner and as a customer. The definition of a “Patriot” is a person who loves, supports, and defends their country and its interests with devotion.

As a proud veteran I understand what that means and that is something I can get behind. I am blessed to have three wonderful sons who have also served as Patriots and who now make up the fifth generation of US Army soldiers in our family.

I understand what words like trust, honesty, loyalty, and integrity mean when you are looking for a service provider. These are just a few of the qualities I can offer you as a customer of Patriot HIS.

Sure, I have many years of experience with HVAC, electrical, and plumbing like most inspectors out there, but I want to be someone you feel comfortable doing business with, someone you feel good about referring to a neighbor or family member.

Buying a home is one of the biggest decisions you will ever make, in fact, it may be the biggest investment you ever make as well. That is why my goal is to help you make an informed and confident decision, giving you peace of mind when it comes to that investment. I hope you will trust Patriot Home Inspection Services to provide you with reliable and thorough inspection services.

I am a Certified Residential Home Inspector with hours of training through InterNACHI—the International Association of Certified Home Inspectors (www.NACHI.org). As the world’s largest nonprofit association of property inspectors, InterNACHI equips inspectors with the highest level of education, training, and certification while upholding a strict Code of Ethics. Each inspector must successfully pass the InterNACHI Inspector Exam; and I adhere to the comprehensive Standard of Practice (SOP) created by ASHI in 1974.
